All of you please stop & think

I read most of the so called Libyan opposition
literature since its beginning in the eighties. Now we are in the
middle of the year 2008 and one looks back and wonder how long is
this going to go? Gaddafi & Co are almost reaching 40 years in
power. Many prominent figures on both sides died. Many are aged and
only God knows how long they can hold on.
I ask all of you in the opposition side; shouldn’t
you stop for a minute and ask “what is the effect of our verbal
fight (struggle)? How much did we achieve?”
How much damage we have caused Gaddafi & CO? And most importantly;
“Did we improve our Libyan people’s life inside the country?”
I say this because I see like many other Libyans
inside or outside the country that Gaddafi & CO are still in
complete control of our beloved country and even getting stronger.
We see that the entire opposition verbal struggle didn’t make a tiny
dent in the fortress of Gaddafi & CO.
Here I sincerely ask all of you to stop and start
asking yourselves the above questions, then get into a forum and ask
each other the above questions again. Listen to each other patiently
and willingly, then compare the different answers with the ones you
had individually.
The average Libyan person is wondering why that the
opposition outside the country hasn’t managed to convince the free
world to understand and sympathize with the Libyan people’s
suffering after almost 40 years now. With all the huge amount of
documented evidence they have.
Is there something that the oppositions are doing
wrong? How can the opposition be more effective to convince the free
world countries to stand by us?
Even Gaddafi has the audacity to describe the
opposition as falling like autumn leaves; referring to those few
people who reconciled with his regime after so many years of
opposition.
There is a new kind of talk going around inside the
country. Libyan people who were standing in the middle taking the
negative stand of resistance; are planning to join Gaddafi & CO
system before they are left out. They say this because they see no
change or a result of the opposition work.
Recently the opposition sites are used as a pass time
activity like looking in a gossip page of a magazine or paper;
nothing more. Then a chat about them over a cup of coffee with
trusted friends. Elderly people advising younger ones to stay away
from trouble and not to listen to those outside the country people
talk; they continue to say why don’t the opposition come and take
the lead themselves? They just want you to do it for them, so don’t
be stupid!!!
I personally feel the need for an immediate revision
of the verbal opposition work is critical!
