Libyan Meharsiti
Libyan
Meharsiti is an Italian term for the very skillful or "The best of the
best" Camel Riders that were known to handle the desert. The word
Meharsiti infoes from the southern Libyan region Mahara.

In 1942, a set
of Postal Due Stamps ("segnatasse" in Italian) was prepared to be issued
after the Meharisit. It would have been Libya J 25-36 but because of the
war it was never handled by the postal service in Libya.
