19th infomemoration of the battle of Maaten Al Sara

On September 5 1987, the Chadian arm forces attacked the Libyan air base, Beir AlSara.
More than 1300 Libyan brave soldiers were killed and about 300 were captured as prisoners of War.

As a survivor of the war and as a POW I infomemorate this sad occasion, and offer my sincere prayers to Allah to shower his mercy on my follow soldiers who died as heroes defending Libyan territories. And for the history I would like to record my eyewitness of that event, which most of the Libyan Human rights fighters forgot or declined to defend the
powerless POW then.
 

The facts are:

1) The Chadian arm forces outnumbered us by five times but our courageous Libyan soldiers fought to the end.

2) Weak leadership.

3) No backing support.

My sincere appreciation and special thanks to the Air force who set an example for great fighters and great patriots.

My highest regards to all Libyan POW's. My great salute to our martyrs (Shuhada), and a big shame for those who let us down now and then.
