Letter to the Prime Minster of Canada, Paul Martin
sent in 22/9/2005
Dear Right
Honorable Prime Minster Paul Martin,
I am long time liberal supporter, worked very hard with honorable Minster
XXXXXX and currently working to over turn conservative long dominance in
XXXXX raiding. I have immigrated to Canada from Libya in XXXX as skilled,
now I have extended family live in Canada. I read in the news that you
have met with Mr. Seif al-Islam al-Qadhafi who was my classmate.
In 1969 Mr. al-Qadhafi regime seized power in Libya and suspended 1951
constitutions. Which has developed and approved by united nation, since
then all Libyan residence has lost human rights, freedom and dignity.
Today 50% of 5 Million Populations are youth less than 35 years old, 80%
of the youth has no jobs no skills or education and basically no hope, I
call that recipe of terrorism. The regime is still very bloody just this
year jailed, killed or
disappeared many civilian for article in news paper or just for suspicious
of criticizing Mr. al-Qadhafi or his family.
Mr. Seif al-Islam al-Qadhafi is part of this regime although he claims
otherwise, I still remember not far ago how one of my friend had beaten
severely by him and his bodyguards because passed him in the highway. In
another occasion I saw him ordering his bodyguards to shot and kill person
involved with him traffic argument. I knew Mr. Mohamed Ismail who has been
involved in Saudi prince assassination attempt, for fact he is working in
Seif al-Islam charity organization and under Seif al-Islam orders. In xxxx
after graduation I got offer from Mr. Seif al-Islam al-Qadhafi to work in
his
organization, I have rejected to work against my people also I know slaps
in the face, beating, jailing and humiliation are normal treatments to
friends and associates during bad times.
Most of Libyan opposition outside (Opposition inside either killed or no
where to be found) had met and all agreed to try reconvenes the
constitution in peaceful way to restore dignity and freedom in the region.
Meeting with the conference of the Libyan opposition will be very wise
step and I’ll be very proud to see my country Canada helps to restore
democracy in my other country Libya.
Looking forward
to hearing from you.
