To the European High infomission for Human Rights,



At a time when the entire world is opening the doors on all fronts to the Libyan Government and establishing relationships on different axes, the Libyan people are continuing to suffer chronic problems, foremost being that of a dismal lack of human rights as measured by any international standard.

There are a large number of political prisoners in jail and the practice of unwarranted arrests, which continue to this day.  For these reasons, we are asking the international infomunity to put pressure on the Libyan Government to cease the unwarranted arrests, to release all political prisoners in Libya, and to stop the use of physical liquidation of opponents of the Libyan regime inside Libya by the police apparatus.

We hope that we have found a sympathetic ear for our requests.
